Alumni Weekend

This past weekend was a lot of fun! it was relay for life on friday and then alumni weekend! and founder's day was on sunday it was a lot of fun! it was really great seeing older sisters who had graduated!! It was really fun being able to catch up with what they were doing! sunday was founders day, it is our 10 year anniversary at oneonta!

Busy Weekend!

Wow this has been a really fun, but busy weekend and it's not even over yet! Yesterday a bunch of my sisters and I as well as some of the brothers from Chi Phi went to Six Flags. It was a lot of fun! We rented a bus together and it was a really great trip! We left really early in the morning at like 5. So everyone pretty much slept on the way there. Six flags wasnt crowed at all, it was a little chilly out but I am just glad that it didnt rain! We got to go on all the good rides, and Kingdakon! which was really scary but so much fun! I am really glad we were able to go it was such a fun trip!

Tonight it Tri Sigma's benefit concert, Rockin for Robbie, it benefits out philanthropy which raises money for play therapy for terminally ill children. We have a lot of great bands playing and a lot of really cool raffle tickets!

Greek Week!!!

So last week was greek week! It was a lot of fun! Monday our sorority played powder puff football and it was soo much fun! It had begun raining and by the time we play it was pouring but that just made it all the more fun!! The field was really muddy so we were all a big mess by the time it was over. Sadly we lost, but it was a lot of fun and a great way to kick off greek week!! Tuesday was inside field day with was also a lot of fun. There were a bunch of different games which i havent played in so long! like 4 square! Wed, was man hunt i wasnt able to go because of class but a lot of my sisters told me it was such a good time! Thursday there was a scavenger hunt with was also a lot of fun! I love greek week its one of my favorite times of the year! Here are some pictures from the week!!

Its our first week back since february break! It was really nice being home and seeing my family and friends, but really glad to be back i missed everyone from school! Today we had a greek peer advocate meeting and it was really interesting. There was a speaker from career development and she taught us how to create a resume and tips on having a successful interview and it was a very beneficial program! Not much else is going on, glad to be back in Oneonta!

Battle of the Red Dragons

Last night was the battle of the red dragons! It was us vs Cortland. Each sorority and fraternity made a banner! We made ours with another sorority and the banner came out really good!! I wish i had a picture of the finished banner, but it was really cute! The game was a lot of fun, it was also senior night and alot of people came out to support our team which was really great! We won, but it was a close game for a while! So great job Oneonta! Also the half time performance was really great, one of our sisters Kristy is on kickline and they did a really good job performing too!!
Feb break starts friday and i am anxiously awaiting it! Cant wait to go home and have a break from all this school work! Until friday i have been basically living in the library studying! But it will all pay off in the end! Okay well, i am off to class!

Happy Wednesday!

Half way through the week! Only two more days of classes until the weekend!! Not much really going on this week now that formal recruitment is over! Tonight there was a GPA which stands for greek peer avocate, they put on different programs each month for all members of greek life. Tonight they were showing the movie Precious, and for anyone who hasnt seen it, it is a really great movie! So if you havent seen it check it out!

Spring 2010

Hi everyone! I am the new blogger for Tri Sigma! My name is Jillian, i am a junior and a child and family studies major at SUNY Oneonta!

This semester has been really fun so far! Formal recruitment began the same day classes did the 21st! The semester has been a little busy so far, between formal recruitment and classes beginning but it has definitely been fun so far!

IGC (inter-greek counsel) did a really great job this semester planning some really fun events during this week! Each even allowed everyone to get to know the different chapters in Greek life here and they got to know a little bit more of what Greek life is all about!

It has been really fun meeting new people and getting to know them! I am really excited about the 11 new members of our chapter! I am so excited they all chose tri sigma and i cannot wait to get to know everyone better, this looks like it is going to be a really great semester! Jillian
